Esteem Ranks is not a system of competition, rather it is a measurement of your hard work on the site. Each Esteem Rank has its own set of qualifiers, as listed within each rank. Poet Laureates

The Poet Laureate has achieved the highest distinction of their peers. Not only is their work consistently exceptional, the Poet Laureate is a master of the review. Anyone who achieves this ranking has earned it. They have earned it through hard work, tireless support of their fellow poets, and poetry that is consistently judged as the best of the best. Poets who have met BOTH Laureate Rank requirements, will remain on in this Rank as long as the Poet MAINTAINS the rank minimum.

The Poet Emeritus writes poetry that is of high caliber, and displaying a commitment to providing members with reviews of exceptional content. Poets who have met BOTH Emeritus Rank requirements, but have yet to complete 2000 reviews, will remain ranked here. Remember, once you make a Rank, you must MAINTAIN that Rank's minimum Requirements to stay in the Rank.
