⇒If you do not want to receive messages or reviews from a member, you can add them to your IGNORE list.  Go to My Account, scroll to the bottom and add the poet to your ignore list.

 ⇒The red star next to a member's name means they are online. Go to My Account, to set your setting for your own Online Presence Star!

 ⇒Animations are not allowed anywhere on the site. This keeps our site moving along at a quick pace.

 ⇒Most lists that appear onsite are sortable.  Click on a title within a table to sort by that name.

 ⇒If you want different poems to appear on your first page, try making your other poems inactive. They will remain onsite, but will not be visible to other members.

 ⇒Your can sort your list of poems from within the My Poems List link by two areas: You can sort by your poem name, or sort by your post date.

 ⇒Be sure to nominate poems as your daily site favorites. The top 20 poems with the most nominations will appear on the Site Favorites page the following day.

 ⇒Poem titles that are purple signify poems you have already reviewed!

 ⇒Poem titles that are maroon signify poems that are posted for sharing only.  The poet does not wish to receive reviews.  This can be reversed within your My Poems List area.

 ⇒You can sort the New Releases List by the three table titles:  Poem Title, Poet Name, Category.  Simply click on the header within the column.

 ⇒You can see who the last 25 poets are who reviewed you, and the last 25 poets you reviewed by going to your My New Reviews or My New Responses pages.

 ⇒Adjust your online status view--that's the Red Star Indicator--by going to My Account page and choosing one of the 3 settings from there.

 ⇒World of Poets is owned and operated by one person, and has been online since May 25, 2006.

 ⇒The slogan "Write Where You Ought To Be" was submitted in a contest held by one of our veteran members, Karen Miner.  It is a play on write where you ought to be writing.

 ⇒That (tm) next to a poet's name signifies that they are a Trial Member.  Trial members are allowed full site access for 14 days, and then decide whether or not to become full paid members.

⇒We encourage you to refer as many friends, family, and colleagues as possible to our world!  Follow the Referral Program link to let us know a referral is coming.  If your referral signs on with us, you will receive an additional month of membership free!  Be sure to tell your referral when signing on, to answer "How Did You Hear About Us?" with "Referral."

 ⇒World of Poets currently operates under 4 addresses!  We own .com, .net, .org, and .biz addresses.  That is why some pages are different from others.  The site founder personally updates maintains all addresses but the .com address, which he pays a company to install his revisions.  Eventually addresses will be combined to just the .com address.

 ⇒Without additional contributions and donations from members and their contacts, World of Poets could not maintain its online presence.  Please donate when you can!

 ⇒We have over 200 Poetry Recordings for your enjoyment.  To hear the recordings go to SITE FEATURES and click on the Poetry Aloud link.

 ⇒Want to enjoy some music while writing your poetry?  You don't have to download or pay for anything!  Simply go to SITE FEATURES and click on the Poetry Therapy link and choose from 4 different music players.

 ⇒As part of our Poetry Bookstore, we now have a feature that allows you to preview over 150 different poetry publications!  Go to SITE FEATURES click on the Poetry Bookstore link, to view the offerings.  Or click on Poetry Book Previews to enjoy previews of over 150 publications on poetry.

 ⇒World of Poets is the ONLY poetry site of its kind that is pop-up  free.  We don't know how long we can maintain that, but we will try!

 ⇒Do you enjoy online Poetry Publications, Poetry Journals and Magazines?  Then go to SITE FEATURES and then click on the Poetry Publications link.  You can then search over 300 different publications.

 ⇒Don't worry if your payment method does not match your original payment method.  Sometimes admin adds free months, or adjusts membership terms for a varity of reasons.  If you have questions, go to Contact Admin and request clarification.

 ⇒The Sticky Poem Challenge is open to all members.  We conduct a new Sticky Poem Challenge each Monday-Saturday, with member voting all day Sunday.  To enter go to SITE FEATURES and click on Sticky Poem Challenges.

 ⇒Did you know that when you are searching a poem by author, within the Great Poetry section, that you can just type the first name of a poet and the list will show you all relevant names?  For example, typing just "John" in the search box will not only show you poems by "John" Donne, "John" Keats, etc., it will also show you Denis "John"son!
